Danzante is a new Italian label in this market. If the producer continues to deliver such a drinkable quality at this price, it will be around for quite a while. This is a ripe and delicious red with none of the old-style harshness usually found in inexpensive Chianti wines. The wine begins with an appealing spicy and floral aroma. On the palate there are flavours of cherry and blackberry. The wine is medium-bodied but gains richness from its soft tannins. The moderate alcohol adds to the sheer quaffability of this cheerful un-oaked red.
