Tangled Vines is a small estate winery near Okanagan Falls that opened a couple of years ago and still operates a little under the radar. To date, the winery has produced only white wines plus one rosé (cleverly called Tickled Pink). The winery’s tasting room traffic certainly benefits from being right across the road from two established producers, Wild Goose and Stag’s Hollow.
This wine is the first Sauvignon Blanc from Tangle Vines. It represents a very good debut. It is a tangy wine with flavours of grapefruit and gooseberry on a spine of flinty minerals. The fresh acidity gives this wine a lively, crisp finish. You want to reach for a plate of good shellfish.
